Overview
The European MSCA Doctoral Network PhD Scholarship provides a full-time MSCA Doctoral Network PhD position (DC12) at the University of Cyprus. Focused on the resilience of critical infrastructures, the SPRING PhD Scholarship supports interdisciplinary research, mobility, training, and secondments across energy, water, and transport sectors. Hosted by the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence, the position forms part of the SPRING DN (2026–2030) consortium.

Eligibility
- Open to applicants of any nationality who have not been awarded a doctoral degree by the date of recruitment.
- Candidates must satisfy the MSCA Doctoral Network mobility rule, meaning they must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Cyprus for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately prior to recruitment.
- Must meet the admission requirements of the Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering PhD programme at the University of Cyprus.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, or Control Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Must demonstrate a strong background in systems and control and/or cyber-physical systems, with competencies in mathematical modeling, simulation, and scientific programming.
- Must have very good knowledge of the English language, proven via qualifications such as IGCSE C grade, IELTS Academic 6.5, or specified TOEFL scores.
