EU–Kenya Youth Sounding Board 2026–2028: Applications Open for 15 Young Kenyan Leaders
The European Union Delegation to Kenya invites applications for the second cohort of the EU Youth Sounding Board. Fifteen young Kenyan leaders will be selected to advise the EU on youth participation, empowerment, and partnerships through March 2028.

Overview
The EU–Kenya Youth Sounding Board is a consultative mechanism designed to ensure that young people contribute to the European Union's policies, programmes, and overall engagement in Kenya. The second cohort brings together 15 young leaders from different counties, communities, and socioeconomic backgrounds to advise the European Union Delegation to Kenya, support structured dialogue, and champion inclusive youth participation.
Selected members will serve through March 2028, engaging in regular consultations, policy dialogues, and community networking activities. While the role is voluntary and unpaid, reasonable participation expenses are covered by the META project.

Eligibility
- Citizenship: Must be a Kenyan citizen residing in Kenya.
- Age: Must be between 18 and 30 years old during the implementation period ending in March 2028.
- Language: Must have a good command of English and/or Swahili.
- Engagement: Must demonstrate active involvement in youth participation, civic engagement, policy advocacy, or community-based networks.

- Completing the online application form with accurate personal, organizational, and reference details.
- Providing specific written responses addressing motivation, communication skills, and community work.
- Submitting a motivation video of up to five minutes in English or Swahili.
