ESDC Internship 2027 in Brussels, Belgium: EUR 1,500 Monthly Allowance for EU Security and Defence Policy Students

The European Security and Defence College (ESDC) has opened its internship call for 2027, giving students hands-on experience within an EU institutional environment in Brussels, Belgium. The programme focuses on the European Union's Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) and the broader Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP).
The programme offers two distinct periods in 2027:
- First Internship Period: 18 January – 14 May 2027
- Second Internship Period: 29 March – 30 July 2027
Participants receive a monthly financial allowance of EUR 1,500. Occasional duty trip expenses outside Brussels may also be reimbursed subject to budget availability.
Eligibility
- Citizenship: Must be a national of an EU Member State.
- Academic Status: Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or equivalent degree programme in a field relevant to ESDC activities.
- Enrollment Continuity: Must remain enrolled at an academic institution for the entire duration of the internship.
- Language Skills: Thorough knowledge of at least one EU working language (English or French) is required.
- Insurance: Must possess health and accident insurance covering the full internship period.
