Overview
The ESDC Internship provides students with the opportunity to work at the European Security and Defence College in Brussels, Belgium. Interns assist with organising and running college activities while gaining a comprehensive understanding of the European Union's Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) and Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP).
Benefits
- Interns receive a monthly allowance of EUR 1500.
- If an intern receives another grant, such as from the Erasmus+ programme, the ESDC covers the difference up to EUR 1500.
- Reimbursement is provided for expenses incurred during occasional duty trips outside Brussels.
- Interns are entitled to two working days of leave per month and receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the programme.
Eligibility
- Must be nationals of a Member State of the European Union.
- Must be currently enrolled in an academic institution or university aiming to obtain a bachelor's, master's degree, or equivalent in a field relevant to ESDC activities.
- Must remain enrolled for the entire duration of the internship.
- Must hold insurance that covers sickness and accidents throughout the internship period.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of one EU working language (English or French), with satisfactory knowledge of another language considered an asset.
