Overview
The Equality Fund Fellowship is designed for journalists in ODA-recipient and Global South countries focusing on local solutions to global crises with a gender lens. The six-month program includes virtual programming, monthly online meetings, safety training, and an in-person convening, followed by three months dedicated to finalizing publication.

Eligibility
- Minimum of three years of journalism experience
- Must be located in, and reporting on, communities in ODA-recipient countries
- Fluent in English, which serves as the working language
- Open to both full-time staff journalists and independent freelancers
- Must possess a bank account capable of receiving international Electronic Wire Transfers
- Must accommodate meetings during daytime hours in Eastern Standard Time
How to Apply
Interested candidates must complete the online application form and submit three journalism samples. Shortlisted applicants will later be asked to provide a letter of editorial commitment from a news outlet. Prohibited use of AI applies to proposals and applications, and any AI use during reporting must be disclosed and approved.
