Overview
The Enterprise Africa Fellowship is the African Union Commission's flagship startup acceleration initiative implemented by the Department of Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals (ETTIM). Cohort 2 (2026/27) expands the programme to 100 fellows from AU Member States, offering sector-focused training, expert mentorship, intellectual property support, and direct market access opportunities.

Eligibility
- Must be registered and operating within an AU Member State as a formal business entity.
- Must have been operating for at least two years and employ a minimum of three full-time staff.
- Particularly encourages applications from women-led enterprises, businesses from underrepresented AU regions, and small island Member States.
- Excludes current and former staff of the African Union Commission, representatives of EAN institutional partners, staff of Regional Economic Communities (RECs), and graduates of previous EAN Fellowship cohorts.

The submission process requires providing business registration details, sector data, years of operation, employee counts, revenue ranges, and an 800-word written pitch describing the enterprise, its primary market challenge, and fellowship objectives.
