Overview
The EACSP Scholarship provides funded Master’s study opportunities under Phase II of the East African Community Scholarship Programme. Designed for academically talented and financially disadvantaged individuals, the programme allows recipients to study in an EAC Partner State other than their country of citizenship. Beneficiaries will attend the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) in Arusha, Tanzania, for the 2026/2027 intake.

Eligibility
- Be a citizen of an EAC Partner State other than Tanzania (such as Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, or Uganda)
- Be under 35 years of age at the time of application
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Upper Division, Distinction, or equivalent
- Apply for admission to one of the four eligible NM-AIST Master’s programmes
- Submit a complete scholarship application before the deadline
How to Apply
Interested candidates must complete both an admission application and a separate scholarship application:
- Apply for admission through the NM-AIST Online Admission System (OAS) and indicate that you are concurrently applying for the EACSP. Pay any applicable admission fees.
- Complete the online EAC Scholarship Application Form through the IUCEA portal.
- Compile all required supporting documents—including a passport or national ID, photographs, proof of admission application, certified degree certificates and transcripts, a CV, reference letters, and proof of financial need—into a single ZIP folder.
- Submit the ZIP folder by email to [email protected] and [email protected] using the required subject format.
