Overview
The Digital Humanism Fellowship provides doctoral and postdoctoral researchers a three-month stay at the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) in Vienna, Austria. Participants undertake interdisciplinary investigation exploring the relationship between technology and society to support ethical, social, and geopolitical dimensions of the digital era.

Eligibility
- Must currently be enrolled in a doctoral program or have earned a PhD within four years of the application deadline (not before 21 September 2022).
- Open across academic fields, provided the research centers on digitalization's societal, economic, or geopolitical impacts.
- Pure Digital Humanities projects applying digital tools to humanities research are ineligible.
- Candidates cannot submit multiple fellowship applications to IWM during the same academic year.
- Past IWM fellows must wait three academic years prior to reapplying.
- Two letters of recommendation must be submitted directly by referees before the deadline.
- All application materials must be written in English.

Applicants must compile their application materials into a single PDF document using only Latin characters in the filename, containing a motivation letter, a short project description, a project proposal, and a CV with publications. Submissions must be completed online via the official application portal.
Additionally, two recommendation letters must be uploaded by your referees through the unique link sent automatically after your application is submitted.
