Overview
The DIEM (Developing Inclusive Education in the Mediterranean) Project provides a specialized capacity-building opportunity for professionals, researchers, academics, and institutional representatives working within the field of Cultural Heritage. The initiative aims to strengthen participants' professional knowledge, practical competencies, and international networks across disciplines such as heritage management, conservation, documentation, governance, and communication.
The training schedule features a blended structure combining online learning sessions delivered in English by international experts alongside a practical international workshop. Covered thematic areas include sustainable heritage resource management, asset conservation principles, documentation processes, institutional governance, and international best practices.
Benefits
Selected participants receive a comprehensive curriculum totaling 40 hours of online training divided into theoretical and applied phases, supplemented by lecture recordings and partner-language subtitles.
Travel and accommodation expenses for the international workshop in Jordan are covered for selected participants, subject to the project's applicable rules.
Participants gain international professional exposure, knowledge exchange across Mediterranean countries, and collaboration opportunities involving partners from Italy, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Spain, and Palestine.
Eligibility
The call targets individuals with a direct professional, academic, or institutional connection to Cultural Heritage. Eligible profiles include:
Heritage site and museum managers
Representatives of public institutions
University professors and academic researchers
Cultural Heritage professionals, administrators, conservators, and educators
