Overview
The DAAD RISE Internship provides bachelor’s students enrolled at German universities with fully funded summer research placements at leading global institutions. Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the program offers practical experience across multiple scientific disciplines for durations lasting between 6 weeks and 3 months, running from June to October 2027.

Eligibility
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at a German university (foreign nationals are eligible if completing their full degree in Germany)
- Must have completed at least one semester by the application period
- Must be studying in natural sciences, life sciences, engineering, computer science, medicine, or pharmacy
- Applicants cannot undertake internships within their home country
How to Apply
Candidates must prepare their required documentation, including a tabular CV, motivation letters, transcripts, course lists, B2-level English proof, and an academic recommendation.
- For placements in Canada, applications run via Mitacs Globalink from 5 August to 16 September 2026.
- For all other global destinations, applications run through the RISE Worldwide database from 15 October to 30 November 2026.
- Academic recommendations must be finalized and submitted by 15 December 2026.
