Overview

The Connect & Create Relay Scheme is an 11-month professional development initiative designed for early-career communications professionals working within the cultural and creative sectors. Supported by the European Union and coordinated by Imago Médias as part of the broader Connect & Create programme, the initiative bridges cultural cooperation between Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. The scheme will support 16 participants across 12 participating countries, combining practical project experience with structured training, one-to-one mentoring, and regional networking opportunities.

Eligibility

  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Must possess two to five years of professional experience in communications, journalism, media, or content creation
  • Must be proficient in English or French
  • Must reside in one of 12 participating countries: South Africa, Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Uganda, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, or Senegal
  • Must demonstrate an active audience or meaningful local presence and an interest in arts and culture

How to Apply

Applicants must submit their documentation through the official online application system. The application package requires a completed online form, a short CV in either English or French, and a professional portfolio containing two to three examples of previous work.
