Overview
The Commonwealth Youth Council invites young people across the Commonwealth to serve as Wellbeing Champions for the “Are You Okay?” Campaign. This youth mental health and wellbeing initiative focuses on initiating conversations, listening to peers, strengthening connections, and turning youth voices into meaningful action. The campaign grew from calls made by young participants at the 2024 Commonwealth Youth Forum in Samoa for enhanced mental health support, education, and prevention. Selected Wellbeing Champions who demonstrate meaningful participation and impact will receive certificates of recognition.
Eligibility
The opportunity is designed for individuals across Commonwealth countries who want to contribute positively to mental health and wellbeing within their communities. Applicants do not need professional mental health qualifications, medical degrees, or prior clinical experience. The Commonwealth Youth Council welcomes candidates from diverse academic, professional, and community backgrounds who possess empathy, respect for others, and a commitment to creating supportive spaces.
