Applications are open for the fully funded Commonwealth Scholarship 2027/28 to pursue a Master's or Ph.D. degree in the UK.

Overview
The Commonwealth Scholarship 2027/28 is a fully funded program supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). It provides opportunities for students from low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries to undertake a one-year Master's degree or a three-year Ph.D. in the UK, with the academic session commencing in September 2027.

Eligibility
- Be a citizen of, or hold refugee status in, an eligible Commonwealth country, and be a permanent resident there.
- Be available to start academic studies in the UK by September 2027.
- Hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honors standard, or a lower second-class degree with a relevant postgraduate qualification by September 2027.
- Provide all required supporting documents in the proper format, including proof of citizenship, a valid passport, full transcripts with certified translations, and at least two references.
How to Apply
Applicants must complete two stages for a valid submission:
- Submit an application through the CSC's online application system.
- Apply simultaneously to an approved nominating agency, such as a national nominating agency, selected non-governmental organization, or charitable body.
Direct applications to the CSC are not accepted, and candidates must ensure all documentation is properly uploaded.
Deadline
The deadline for both the Commonwealth Master's Scholarship and the Commonwealth Ph.D. Scholarship is 20th October 2026.
