Overview
The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) offers the Commonwealth Fellowship Programme, featuring two distinct strands: Professional Fellowships and Academic Fellowships. These fully funded awards provide eligible citizens from across the Commonwealth the opportunity to undertake professional development or academic skills updates and networking at UK host organizations.
Eligibility
- Must be a citizen or have refugee status in an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person, and be permanently resident there.
- Professional Fellows must have at least five years of relevant full-time work experience.
- Academic Fellows must hold a PhD and be employed by a university in an eligible Commonwealth country.
- Must provide at least two references, including one from a current employer.

- Reimbursement of the standard visa application fee.
- Monthly living allowance stipend (£2,218 per month, or £2,753 per month for London locations).
- Arrival allowance of up to £1,247.09, which includes an element for warm clothing.
