Overview
The Chevening OCIS Fellowship is a fully funded research opportunity designed for mid-career professionals and scholars focused on modern Muslim societies and Islamic civilization. Hosted by the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) in the UK through a partnership with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, participants spend five months conducting independent research and collaborating with diverse academics.

Eligibility
- Must be a citizen of an eligible country, including Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iraq, Indonesia, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Libya, Morocco, Pakistan, Nigeria, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Senegal, Philippines, Syria, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Tunisia, Turkey, or Uzbekistan.
- Possess a postgraduate degree or equivalent professional education or experience in a relevant field.
- Demonstrate significant academic and/or professional research experience of at least five years.
- Meet standard Chevening fellowship eligibility criteria.
