CDT Non-Resident Fellows Program 2026: Two-Year Technology Policy Fellowship for Leading Academics and Researchers
The Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) Non-Resident Fellows Program 2026 offers established academics and researchers a two-year opportunity to integrate scholarly expertise into technology policy discussions. Based in Washington, D.C. with remote participation allowed, the fellowship bridges academic research and public-interest policy.

Overview
The Center for Democracy & Technology (CDT) Non-Resident Fellows Program is a two-year engagement connecting leading scholars and academics with CDT’s technology-policy work. The initiative creates a bridge between academic research and real-world public-interest technology policy by allowing researchers to engage directly with CDT research and policy teams. While based in Washington, D.C., remote participation is permitted for the duration of the program.
Fellows contribute disciplinary expertise to emerging technology debates, participate in policy strategy calls, join briefings on emerging issues, and help inform how the organization approaches the social, political, economic, legal, and technical implications of rapid technological developments.
