Overview
The Caspar David Friedrich Scholarship 2027 provides exceptional art graduates with funding to execute an original artistic development project in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. Offered annually by Hochschule Wismar in cooperation with the University of Music and Theatre Rostock (hmt Rostock) and the University of Greifswald’s Caspar David Friedrich Institute, the award supports projects that significantly advance artistic forms and expression. Funding lasts for a maximum duration of 12 months, beginning on 1 May.
Benefits
- A basic monthly stipend of €1,500.
- A family allowance of €150 per month for the first child.
- An additional €100 per month for each subsequent child.
Eligibility
- Must hold an artistic degree from an art academy or a comparable degree programme in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany.
- Must demonstrate well-above-average academic and examination results.
- Must propose an outstanding artistic development project.
- Must satisfy all supervision and project criteria set by the host institution.
