Overview
The CAPSHA South-South Collaboration Innovation Pitch Challenge 2026 is an innovation funding opportunity organized under the CGIAR Capacity Sharing (CapSha) Accelerator. It is designed to support demand-driven partnerships that enhance agricultural research, extension, education, and innovation systems across Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
The total available award budget is USD 45,000, distributed across three regional winners as follows:
- Africa Region: USD 15,000 grant
- Asia Region: USD 15,000 grant
- Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Region: USD 15,000 grant
Eligibility
Applications must be led by a National Agricultural Research Extension and Education Systems (NAREES) institution located in eligible countries across Africa, Asia, or Latin America and the Caribbean. Lead applicant institutions may collaborate with additional partners, including:
- CGIAR Centers
- Government agencies
- Farmer producer organizations
- Private sector organizations
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and development partners

Selected regional winners will receive funding of up to USD 15,000 to implement their proposed capacity-sharing initiatives, strengthen international partnerships, increase network visibility, and contribute to sustainable food systems transformation.
