Camargo Fellowship 2027–2028: 10-Week Residency in France for Artists, Scholars and Thinkers
The Camargo Fellowship 2027–2028 provides established and mid-career artists, scholars, and thinkers with a 10-week residency in Cassis, France. Selected fellows receive dedicated time and space for independent research, writing, artistic creation, and interdisciplinary exchange.

Overview
The Camargo Fellowship is the flagship residency program of the Camargo Foundation, situated on the Mediterranean coast in Cassis, France. Established in 1971 by Jerome Hill, the program offers a supportive environment designed to help participants step away from normal professional routines and focus entirely on independent and rigorous work. The current call covers residencies taking place during Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
This application round is particularly significant because the Foundation has announced that the current open call is expected to be the final public open call under the existing application system. Beginning in July 2027, the Foundation plans to introduce a revised selection process that no longer relies on a public open-call model.
