Call for Innovative Green Education Action Projects 2026: Share Your Climate Education Project and Win a Fully Funded Visit to Brussels
The Education for Climate Coalition invites students, educators, schools, institutions, and organisations to showcase innovative green education projects. Selected projects will win a fully funded visit to Brussels to present their work at Education for Climate Day 2026.

Overview
The Education for Climate Coalition has launched its annual call to identify strong, practical examples of climate and sustainability education that can inspire other communities across the European Education Area. Three projects from each of the three thematic areas will be selected to present their work during Education for Climate Day 2026. Representatives of these selected projects will receive a fully funded visit to Brussels to participate in the event, interact with other participants, and share lessons learned.
Applicants may submit projects under one of three distinct thematic areas:
- Youth Leadership and Intergenerational Dialogue for Climate Action
- Citizenship Education and Institutional Action for Sustainability
- GreenComp: Envisioning Sustainable Futures in Teaching and Learning
Eligibility
The call is open to a broad range of participants across formal and informal education, including:
- Students and educators
- Schools and educational institutions
- Civil society organisations and community partners
- Companies, public institutions, and researchers
- Cultural actors and non-formal education providers
Geographic Requirements: Projects must be based in and across an eligible European Education Area country, which includes the 27 European Union Member States alongside Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, and Türkiye.
Implementation Requirements: Projects must have moved beyond the conceptual idea stage and have concrete implementation actions already completed or currently ongoing within the eligible period.

How to Apply
Applicants must ensure they hold verified user status before finalising their submissions. A complete application consists of both the required survey and blog components. Submissions should be supported by clear evidence of implementation, such as learning materials, activity descriptions, photographs, videos, or documents, while strictly complying with copyright and privacy regulations.
