Brand South Africa Play Your Part Bursary 2026: Attend the One Young World Summit in Cape Town
Applications are open for the Brand South Africa Play Your Part Bursary 2026, enabling six young South African changemakers to attend the One Young World Summit in Cape Town. Successful candidates will gain access to global leadership programming, mentorship, and a lifetime ambassador community.

Overview
The Brand South Africa Play Your Part Bursary 2026 is an initiative created in partnership between Brand South Africa and One Young World. It aims to recognize and support young South Africans who demonstrate active citizenship and are actively contributing to positive change in their communities and across the country. Six outstanding young people will be selected to participate in the One Young World Summit 2026, taking place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3–6 November 2026.
The bursary is divided geographically to ensure opportunities for both local and national candidates:
- Three bursaries are reserved for candidates based in Cape Town (travel and accommodation are not provided for Cape Town-based recipients).
- Three bursaries are available to applicants from across South Africa (travel and accommodation are provided as required).

- Catering during specified periods of the Summit.
- Access to the One Young World Global Leadership Programme.
- Access to the Action Accelerator leadership and action initiative.
- Lifetime membership in the One Young World Ambassador Community.
Eligibility
- Age Requirement: Must be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of the One Young World Summit 2026.
- Nationality or Residency: Must be a South African national or a resident of South Africa.
- Active Citizenship: Must demonstrate a genuine commitment to positive change through a proven track record of contributing time, money, skills, or goods to their community or society.
- Issue Awareness: Must show a clear understanding of key local and/or global challenges facing South Africa.
