Overview

The Billion Acts of Peace Changemaker Fellowship is a year-long international leadership and impact programme designed to strengthen projects that address peace, justice, equity, human rights, environmental protection, and other critical social challenges. Powered by the PeaceJam Foundation, the initiative invests in emerging leaders who have already moved beyond the idea stage and started implementing solutions in their communities.

Benefits

  • Up to US$5,000 in project funding to develop, improve, or expand active peacebuilding work.
  • Ten monthly virtual mentoring sessions with world-class mentors.
  • Tailored one-to-one coaching to help clarify strategy and strengthen leadership.
  • Access to a global community of peacebuilders, alumni, and Nobel Peace Laureates.
  • Opportunities to participate in PeaceJam conferences, virtual events, and an award ceremony.

Eligibility

The programme welcomes emerging young changemakers whose initiatives address one or more of ten key issue areas, such as advancing women and children, alleviating extreme poverty, clean water access, conflict resolution, education, ending racism, global health, human rights, disarmament, and environmental protection. Formal registration as a charity is not mandatory, and eligible projects can include grassroots initiatives, youth-led campaigns, social enterprises, and informal community projects.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit their applications through the official fellowship page. The application process asks for personal details, project descriptions, problem statements, current stage of development, connections to Billion Acts issue areas, proposed funding use, and evidence of previous work.

Deadline

Applications close on September 28, 2026.
