Overview
The AskSia Scholarship is a competition providing two awards of $1,500 USD each for students worldwide. The programme invites applicants to explore the boundary between using artificial intelligence and becoming dependent on it. Essays are evaluated entirely on their arguments, and prior use of AskSia products is not required for participation.

Eligibility
- Must be enrolled at, or hold a confirmed offer from, an accredited institution.
- Must be at least 17 years old at the time of application.
- Must have a cumulative average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or an equivalent recognised standard.
- Open to students from all fields of study and any country.
- Applicants cannot be employees or immediate family members of AskSia employees, previous recipients of the scholarship, or individuals who have already applied during the current 2026 cycle.
How to Apply
Candidates must submit all required materials together in a single email following the official guidelines:
- Complete the AskSia AI Literacy Scholarship Application Form and save it as a PDF.
- Write an 800 to 1000 word essay responding to one of the approved topics.
- Provide an official or unofficial academic transcript displaying your full name, institution name, and cumulative standing.
- Arrange for one recommendation letter from a teacher, faculty member, advisor, counsellor, or community leader to be sent directly from their institutional email address.
