Asia Pacific University ADB Scholarship 2027, Japan (Fully Funded)

Overview

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Scholarship Program offers fully funded Master’s degree opportunities at Asia Pacific University (APU) in Japan. Designed for students planning to begin their academic studies in September 2027, the programme covers developmental fields such as economics, management, health, education, and science and technology. The scholarship duration is two years, with APU selecting and forwarding eligible candidates to the ADB for final selection.

Eligibility

Must be a citizen of an ADB member country and a Japanese ODA eligible country.
Must not hold dual citizenship of any developed country.
Must currently reside and work in your home country.
Must possess at least two years of full-time professional work experience gained after completing a bachelor’s degree.
Must demonstrate proficiency in oral and written English communication.
Must be 35 years old or younger at the time of application.
Must not currently be enrolled in a graduate degree programme or pursuing a second master’s degree.
In principle, must not hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree obtained outside of your home country.
Family income must not exceed US$50,000 per year, and individual income must not exceed US$25,000 per year.

How to Apply

Applications for admission and the scholarship are handled directly through the university:

Submit your application through the APU online application system and explicitly request the ADB scholarship within your submission.
Upload a Certificate of Employment issued by your current employer displaying start and end dates along with monthly or annual income. If current employment is under two years, include a previous employer certificate or an Income Tax Return.
There is no application fee required.

The application deadlines are November 5, 2026, or January 8, 2027.
