ARES International Training Scholarships 2027–2028 in Belgium
The ARES International Training Scholarships provide fully funded opportunities for qualified graduates and working professionals from 32 eligible countries to undertake specialised higher education and professional training in Belgium. Administered by the Académie de Recherche et d’Enseignement Supérieur (ARES), the programme covers international travel, subsistence allowances, tuition fees, and insurance.

Overview
The ARES International Training Scholarships for the 2027–2028 academic year support specialised academic and professional programmes within the higher education system of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in Belgium. Applicants may select one specialised bachelor’s programme, eight specialised master’s programmes, or one continuing education programme. The training focuses on major development challenges including human rights, public health, economics, microfinance, food-chain safety, supply-chain management, cybersecurity, and disaster management.
Eligibility
- Must be permanent residents and workers in one of the 32 eligible partner countries (with a specific exception for Palestinian nationals).
- Must hold an appropriate higher education qualification generally obtained within the last 20 years, with extensions available for childbirth or adoption.
- Must demonstrate at least two years of relevant professional experience acquired after the most recent graduate degree and prior to the deadline.
- Must meet the language requirements of the chosen programme.
- Restricted to submitting an application for only one programme.
