Eligibility
- Must intend to study abroad in Japan.
- Must be a national of a MEXT-designated country.
- Must have been born on or after April 2, 1992.
- Must hold a minimum GPA of 2.30 out of 3.00 in their most recent degree.
- Must not be on active military duty.
- Must be able to arrive in Japan during the timeframe specified by APU.
- Must satisfy graduate program admission criteria at APU and be selected for university recommendation.
How to Apply
Candidates must first apply to a graduate degree program at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) to be considered for the MEXT University Recommendation Scholarship. The university evaluates submissions and chooses candidates to put forward to MEXT for final selection.
