APRM Third Continental Training on South-South and Triangular Cooperation 2027: Virtual Training on Agenda 2063 and the SDGs

Overview

The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) has announced its Third Continental Training on South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTrC) for Sustainable Development. Under the theme “Accelerating the Implementation of Agenda 2063 and the SDGs in a Changing Global Order,” this virtual capacity-building programme is designed to strengthen African expertise, peer learning, and partnerships for sustainable development. The training is scheduled to start on 1 November 2027 and will be delivered virtually, making it accessible to eligible participants across Africa and the diaspora.

The curriculum consists of five major modules: South-South and Triangular Cooperation in a Changing Global Order; SSTrC, Agenda 2063 and the SDGs; Financing the Africa We Want; Monitoring, Evaluation and Knowledge Management; and a newly included component on Youth, Gender and Inclusive Governance.

Eligibility

The programme is designed for a broad range of target participants across institutional and grassroots levels:

• Individuals working within or connected to APRM National Structures.
• Youth and women involved in development, governance, community initiatives, or Agenda 2063-related activities.
• Africans in the diaspora.
• Civil society organizations, universities, research institutions, and academic organizations.
• Professionals associated with development partners and development practitioners.
• Community leaders advancing community-level initiatives.
