Overview
The Dalai Lama Fellows program is designed for young changemakers and social innovators across the world who are addressing critical issues such as health and well-being, education, environmental sustainability, cultural understanding, and human rights. Selected fellows participate in a year-long curriculum from April 2027 to March 2028 that includes coaching, group learning, and contemplative practices while they continue developing their social innovation projects.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be 20 to 36 years old as of April 1, 2027.
- Candidates must demonstrate fluency in written and spoken English.
- Participants must show current engagement with, or well-articulated plans for, a social change project with sustained involvement throughout the fellowship year.
- Applicants should possess in-depth knowledge of the community and issue their project addresses, along with an interest in learning and engaging in contemplative practices.

The application consists of an applicant background and overview, short essay questions, a video submission, a resume or CV, and a letter of recommendation. Candidates can access the online application portal directly.
