The American Academy in Berlin Berlin Prize Fellowship provides an international residency for exceptional scholars, writers, journalists, legal experts, and public policy professionals. Situated at the historic Hans Arnhold Center on Lake Wannsee in Berlin, participants pursue independent projects while participating in lectures, readings, and public programs that foster transatlantic relations.

Eligibility
The programme welcomes applications from high-achieving individuals across several fields, including the humanities, social sciences, law, journalism, and public policy, as well as specialized areas such as Jewish studies, German studies, public health, and biotechnology. Visual artists, composers, and applicants focusing on mathematics or the natural sciences are generally not accepted through this track.
