Overview
The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) is seeking an experienced program and project management professional for the position of Program Manager at AIMS Rwanda, based at its Centre of Excellence in Kigali, Rwanda. This full-time role involves providing operational leadership and coordination for AIMS Rwanda’s programs, including the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program and other donor-funded initiatives.
The successful candidate will contribute to partnerships, fundraising, program implementation, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and long-term institutional sustainability.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following educational, professional, and technical requirements:
- Hold a Master’s degree in International Development, Economics, Business Administration, Project Management, Social Sciences, Education, or a related discipline.
- Possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in program and budget management.
- Demonstrate professional project or program management qualifications such as PgMP, PMP, or MSP.
- Have experience working within donor-funded programs and understanding impact evaluation and reporting.
- Show an understanding of education and development in Africa, with a strong focus on STEM education and gender equity.
- Exhibit excellent English communication skills; a working knowledge of French is an advantage.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and digital collaboration tools.
