The African Water Facility has launched its 2026 Call for Proposals to provide grant funding for eligible institutions developing water and sanitation projects in Africa.

Overview
The African Water Facility (AWF), administered by the African Development Bank on behalf of the African Ministers’ Council on Water, has launched its 2026 Call for Proposals under the AWF 2026–2030 Strategy. The initiative aims to strengthen Africa's water and sanitation investment pipeline by supporting high-impact, investment-ready projects that improve access to safe water, enhance sanitation services, strengthen climate resilience, and promote sustainable development.
