Overview

The Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) invites applications for the Africa Economic Analyst position based in Accra, Ghana. This role focuses on economic research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, policy advice, technical assistance, advocacy, and capacity development related to natural resource governance in Ghana and across Africa.

The position is part of NRGI's Regional Programs team, working closely with the Ghana Country Manager and reporting to a Senior Economic Analyst. The advertised starting salary is US$34,236 gross per year, supported by employee benefits including health insurance, a 10% employer pension contribution, extensive leave, and two weeks of annual office closure.

Eligibility

  • Hold a master’s degree in economics or a related field.
  • Possess a minimum of five years of experience working as an economic analyst in international development.
  • Have at least two years of experience working on extractive industry governance in Ghana.
  • Demonstrate experience in areas such as public financial management, taxation, microeconomic issues, state-owned enterprise management, energy transition, or transition minerals.
  • Possess strong quantitative analysis capabilities and experience working with complex datasets.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and spoken French, alongside professional proficiency in English.
