Overview
The AERC World Bank Visiting Scholarship is a partnership between the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) and the World Bank's Africa Region Chief Economist’s Office. It invites qualifying researchers to spend four to six months in Washington, D.C., focusing on economic policy research pertinent to African development. Participants collaborate directly with World Bank researchers, access extensive data resources, and contribute to regional analytical work.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be AERC researchers, which includes individuals from the AERC collaborative PhD programme (CPP).
- Candidates must hold an active AERC research project that has reached at least the interim/post-field stage or final paper stage.
- The proposed research project must align with the World Bank Africa Region research agenda and African development imperatives.
- Women, francophone, and lusophone candidates are especially encouraged to apply.
