Aidsfonds has announced the upcoming ActHIVate Fund to support community-led HIV responses for MSM and trans communities in restrictive environments. A total of €2 million is available in the first funding round for up to 20 organisations.

Overview
The ActHIVate Fund, established by Aidsfonds, provides flexible support to established men who have sex with men (MSM) and trans-led community organisations. The initiative focuses on delivering HIV-related healthcare, conducting strategic advocacy, and integrating inclusive services into existing health systems in settings where access to healthcare is highly restricted.
The fund features a total allocation of €2 million in its first round and is expected to award funding to up to 20 organisations. The implementation period runs for approximately one year and nine months, from April 2027 through December 2028.
Eligibility
Primary applicants must be registered local community organisations led by MSM and trans community members with substantial experience in HIV service delivery and advocacy.
- Unregistered organisations may also apply if they have an established fiscal host.
- Eligible countries and regions for this call include Uganda, Nigeria, and selected countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) and Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA).
- Projects must be implemented within a single country; multi-country or regional initiatives are excluded.
