ACET Graduate Intern – Gender Equality Program 2026: Six-Month Opportunity Supporting Gender Equality and Women’s Economic Empowerment in Africa
The African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) is seeking a motivated Graduate Intern to support its Gender Equality Program. The initial six-month placement provides practical experience in programme coordination, research, and project management.

Overview
The African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET) offers a six-month graduate internship through its Gender Equality Program (GEP). The selected candidate will provide administrative and operational support across a portfolio of initiatives aimed at advancing gender equality and women’s economic empowerment across Africa. Key areas of the internship include programme and workplan coordination, procurement support, monitoring and evaluation (MEL) reporting, research assistance, and event planning.
Eligibility
- Hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in fields such as gender studies, economics, development studies, public policy, social sciences, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrate strong organisational, coordination, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using digital project tracking tools.
- Show a genuine interest in gender equality, women’s economic empowerment, and development policy.
