The AAPI Civic Engagement Fund Creative Catalyst Fellowship 2027 awards up to eight artists $30,000 each to create public-facing work exploring the theme of belonging. Applications are open until October 15, 2026.

Overview
The AAPI Civic Engagement Fund Creative Catalyst Fellowship 2027 is a yearlong opportunity designed for individual artists whose creative practices engage the public on critical issues affecting Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. The programme provides financial backing and a supportive ecosystem to help independent artists develop ambitious projects that encourage meaningful civic participation and reach wider audiences.
Running from January through December 2027, the fellowship centers on the theme “Belonging,” which encompasses community, identity, agency, inclusion, and the collective wellbeing and flourishing of AAPI communities.
