Overview
The A.S. Hornby Educational Trust Scholarship 2027/28 is designed for experienced English language teachers and TESOL professionals from low- and middle-income countries. Jointly offered by the Trust and the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom, the programme seeks to strengthen worldwide English language education by supporting up to 10 educators who show excellence and potential leadership in their home countries.

Eligibility
- Country of Residence: Must live and work in a Least Developed Country, Low-Income Country, Lower Middle-Income Country, or Upper Middle-Income Country based on the OECD DAC list.
- Professional Experience: Must have at least three years of full-time TESOL teaching experience or equivalent professional experience following a first university degree.
- Academic Qualifications: Must hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1) or higher, or a relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Restrictions: Applicants must not already hold a doctoral degree in a related discipline, nor a UK Master's degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, or a closely related field.
